A DAY ON THE MEKONG

Cruise Your Day Away on the Mekong

Want more time on the magnificent Mekong river? Then this is the cruise for you. The South to North experience is a full day tour that takes you to various spots south and north of Luang Prabang. Experience both ends of the Mekong and spend a casual day relaxing on a traditional Lao slow boat as you take in the surrounding nature and sights.

Your tour begins in Luang Prabang where you will cruise down the Mekong towards the south as far as Ban Saleuan village. Make a short stop for an eco-tour at Mekong Eden’s Sustainable Organic Farm. The cruise will then journey north, passing Luang Prabang on the way and continuing onwards to Pak Ou. Along the way, you may choose to stop at a scenic spot for lunch. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing lunch on-board the boat as you continue cruising up the river. After lunch, explore the Pak Ou caves. Also known as “Buddha Caves”, Pak Ou holds religious and spiritual significance for the Lao people. Depart from Pak Ou and enjoy the cruise downriver to Luang Prabang where your journey ends.
